Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Askive is a productivity tool for individuals, employees, and businesses. This policy is intentionally short. In plain terms: use Askive lawfully, for legitimate purposes, and in a way that does not harm others. The rules below are the line.

What you may do

Askive may be used for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Storing and organizing documents, invoices, contracts, receipts, and personal records
  • Querying your stored records using natural language
  • Sharing archive access with authorized members of your team or household
  • Using Askive to quickly retrieve information when you need it
  • Forwarding email to your archive for reference and retrieval

What you may not do

Illegal content: You may not store, process, or share content that is illegal under applicable law, including material that infringes copyright, violates privacy laws, or constitutes fraud.
Harmful or abusive content: Content that harasses, threatens, or abuses individuals or groups. This includes content that facilitates violence, discrimination, or targeted harassment.
Malware and security threats: Uploading files designed to damage systems, including viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any code intended to compromise the security of Askive or its users.
Deceptive or fraudulent use: Using Askive to facilitate fraud, impersonate others, or engage in deceptive business practices. This includes using AI responses to fabricate records or misrepresent information to third parties.
Platform abuse: Attempting to circumvent usage limits, creating multiple accounts to exploit free-tier allowances, reverse-engineering the Service, or conducting automated attacks against the platform.
Personal sensitive data without authorization: Uploading other people's personal information — including medical records, financial data, or identity documents — without the legal right to do so.
Content involving minors: Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. Violations will be reported to relevant authorities immediately.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate potential violations of this policy. Upon finding a violation, we may remove offending content, suspend access, or terminate the account immediately and without refund, depending on the severity of the violation.

For serious violations involving illegal content — particularly content that exploits minors or facilitates violent crimes — we are required by law to report such incidents to the appropriate authorities. We will comply with those requirements without exception.

If you believe you have been incorrectly suspended or that content was wrongly removed, please contact us at hello@askive.app and we will review your case.
